High School Seniors Will Display Their Boards Again
It has been a tradition that high school seniors introduce themselves to fellow citizens of their city. They post their photos on funny, sophisticated, or otherwise unique boards in shop windows. Sometimes the boards would resemble Most Wanted Lists, sometimes they look like Andy Warhol artworks.
To explain this, pupils in Czech school are assigned to ”classes” and they attend the same subjects, seminars…etc. with the same people during the whole four or five years (fours years of elementary schools, five years of junior high and four years of high schools…).
Municipalities usually organize competitions by popular vote and the class with the most interesting board wins some money. Let’s be realistic: they are going to turn the prize money into booze money.
