Cau Petre,
I like the site and your commentary. Its nice to see a Czech with very good English write on local issues. Its also nice to see its lack of any affiliation with expats.cz nor the rantings of the madman Kal Korff. I look forward to reading more, and hats off on your exceptional English. Je to skoda ze nejste v praze…:}

Ahoj Petre,
Have a look at http://www.slovodne.cz
It’s funny and informative and you may like it. If you like it a lot, you may even put up a link…
Keep up the good work. I’ve bookmarked your site.

Hi Petr,
I’m an English teacher living in Brno. I stumbled onto your site and I really enjoy it. Keep it up. And where did you get that fantastic panalaky panorama on the top of the page? Really, I’d love to know. It looks like it could be Brno…?
Ahoj,
I found your blog during a phase of writers block. Great Blog! I am an American who has tried studying Czech language off and on. I am very interested in the Czech culture and current events.
Hi Joe, yes, the panelak buildings are indeed Brno. The Vinohrady suburb, taken from the eastern walls of Spilberk.
To “michiganredneck”: Hey, any questions you might have, in the most recent comments, and I will try to reply via email ASAP.
Ahoj, Petře,
I just discovered you’ve revived the blog after the old one disappeared. Too bad you moved to Brno before I was in Bratislava; I would’ve loved to buy you a beer sometime.
Ahoj Petre,
I sent you an email about interviewing you for Global Voices, I’m not sure if you got it?
Cheers,
Elia
Hi Elia, I just replied to your e-mail.

Ahoj Petre,

I exploded some website of Czecoslovak expats in my country http://www.myczechrepublic.com as well as Bohemian restaurant in Queens, Astoria with good beer from talk of my NY friend. That’s great.I luv Bohemia and bohemian and Czech and check. It is lovely.Good luck, your blog is great for learning about small nations.
Hi Petr,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my website. Yes indeed it sounds Czech, though I’ve never been to my “ancestral homeland” and instead grew up as an American in the Eastern USA, Marshall Islands and Japan, where no one ever knew how to pronounce my last name. At the very least the name is very well-recognized in Japan–at least when you pronounce it the way they do
My paternal great-grandparents on my grandfather’s side were from Bratislava and somewhere in what is now the current Czech Republic. In fact I’m really eager to finally go to that area and am planning to take a short trip at least to Prague later this year when I am in Europe on business.
Hi
I like reading this site, it’s very informative and engaging. Brno’s a great place to live and work.
My blog is much more lighthearted.
All the best
Terry
Great website/blog and I just posted an article link to you from the Forum blog at http://www.brnoexpats.com. However, I was looking for an RSS feed to pull your posts into our Czech News feature and couldn’t find one. Do you have an RSS feed we can subscribe to?
Regards
Hi Rose, thanks for the offer…I will let you know as soon as I come up with a story that fits the request! PB
