Number of tourists decreasing

In Culture, Language on July 6, 2007 by Petr Bokuvka

The Czech Tourism Association came with a very interesting explanation of why the number of foreign tourists is decreasing. It is called the second-visit-syndrome. The country has been a favorite place to visit for so many years that everybody who actually wanted to come have been here. And obviously not so many foreign tourists want to come a second time. They have read negative references, or they had their own experience with cab drivers at the Prague airport who constantly rip people off by charging them double the fare.

I thik there is not much to be done about this. Everything this country has, or had, to offer has been presented already. People who are tourism-income-dependent can only hope for some unique discoveries or global warming that would make Prague a sea resort. In 4oo hundred years, maybe.
