Lost In Greece

In Culture, Czechs on July 14, 2007 by Petr Bokuvka

Greece. A small village. There is one place that they call Internet Cafe. If you want to check your email or just send a message, it will cost you 1 euro per 15 minues. While you wait, you must order something. Two drinks per person while this British guy checks BBC home page. Who cares what is going on in the world if you are on vacation… Guess that is just a professional journalism thing. There are newspapers from all over the world on sale here. Never seen anyone buy them.

Speaking of foreigners on vacation….there is one very noticeable difference between Czech kids and British kids. Czech kids behave precisely the way they behave at home. In other words, they bring their bad habits along with them. On the other hand, proper upper-class British kids that we see here obviously lost the control over their manners. Kind of liberating experience…

Please note: No spelling check in this post. Sorry.
