Czech Airlines, A Future Low-Cost Owner?

Czech company Czech Airlines is thinking about operating a low-cost airlineiDNES news server reports. The CA management does not wish to comment on this plan. According to the news server it is almost a sure thing. It would be nothing new since Lufthansa has a share in GermanWings and Spanish airline company Iberia co-owns ClickAir.

I might have another idea for Czech Airlines. Their overseas tickets are quite expensive. Instead of flying to Newark they could pick an airport that is close to NYC and that has lower landing and handling fees. Baltimore, perhaps… People who now travel to the States are capable of finding a cheap connecting flight for favorable prices. And those for whom NYC is the final destination might as well take a commuter…
