The Truth About Czech Airlines

In Economy on September 14, 2007 by Petr Bokuvka

I have been a naive airline traveller.

As of today Czech Airlineswill transport luggage in luggage containers on their Airbus 320. Until yesterday the passengers’ luggare was randomly piled up and stored in the luggage compartment in the belly/fuselage cargo area.

Big surprise for a person who travelled quite a lot this year: Prague to Las Palmas and back, Prague to Tenerife and back, Prague to Barcelona and back… I have always thought that all aircraft that are pressurized (Boeing, Airbus) must have their passengers’ luggage in containers. All the time. That is what I thought the containers were near the gates for.

Nope, sir. Fasten your seatbelt and hope that your suitcase-on-wheels is doing fine down there.

This investment should pay off, the airline is quoted by server as saying. Naive me, again. I thought they were implementing it to make customers happier. So that you would love the way we fly, so that there would be something special in the air
