Czechs Need More Pills

Doctor-recommended use of prescribed anti-depression [?] medication has increased rapidly, news server wrote, quoting the latest OECD statistics. The number has doubled over the last ten years.

Over 1,600 people commit suicide every year which is more than the overall number of car accident victims.

The overall medication use in the Czech Republic is high as well. Whereas an average Czech swallows 2.5 pills a day, an average Dutch patient uses only 1.6 pills a day.
