Coronation Jewels On Display Again

In Culture, Travel on April 19, 2008 by Petr Bokuvka Tagged:

After five years the Prague Castle once again offers people to see the Czech coronation jewels that are considered to be a symbol of the country.

The number of visitors is limited to 5,000 a day. Some people were willing to spend the night on the street in order to be among the first ones to stand in the line…

Normally the jewels are locked on a very safe place from which the most important people of this country have keys- among them the President, the Mayor of Prague, the Speaker of the Senate.

Heavy military presence there… (as the jewels were being removed from the vault).
