New Zealander Who Kidnapped His Czech Daughter Did Not Get Custody

Daughter of New Zealander Rodney William Cowie and his Czech wife will return home from Australia where she arrived with her father after he had kidnapped her from the Czech Republic, news server writes.

Australian court found in favor of the mother, Czech embassy in Australia announced.

Both the mother and her daughter shall arrive in Prague as soon as possible, but they don’t have their airline ticket purchased yet.

I am trying really hard to be sorry for the mother, for she had to go through when the girl was kidnapped, but I can’t…Marrying a foreigner from an altogether different culture involves things like this… They should have expected things like this… which I think is why we have specialized institutions that protect the rights of children: in other words both Czech and Australian authorities were helping the girl, not the mother….
