The most talented Czech cartoonist

In Culture, Politics on November 6, 2008 by Petr Bokuvka Tagged: , , ,

Lubomir Vanek is a cartoonist from Brno, Czech Republic who has cooperated with many dailies for years, which includes the daily that I used to work for. He was able to draw a strip or another such assignment within moments, or hours.

He holds several records that has gotten his name into the Guinness Book. If you work for a foreign company based in the Czech Republic and if you consider an unusual form of presentation, or let’s say a gift for your CEO, he’s your man. The portraits are unbelievable accurate. And I think he would be able to draw your CEO shaking hands with Vaclav Klaus or Barack Obama.

I do like Peanuts and Snoopy and the work of Charles Schultz as such, but Mr. Vanek is way better…

  1. He’s no relation to the Slovak cartoonist Marian Vanek, I presume?
