Sky Europe delayed all over Central Europe

Sky Europe airlines seem to be in trouble. Again. According to the server the GECAS leasing company took back several aircraft.

And there are huge delays in Prague, Bratislava and Vienna today. For example, the 7.30 a.m. flight from Prague to London is still (11:00 a.m. Friday) delayed, as they are waiting for available aircraft…

And since prices in airport refreshment stands are terribly high in Prague, I am sure the people who are waiting airside must be pissed off big time.

UPDATE: according to the aforementioned server and some spotters on the location, Air Slovakia planes are covering some routes for Sky Europe.

This is from 1:05 p.m. CET in PRAGUE:

The time on the left is scheduled, the time on the right is expected. Hence, the flight to Brussels is already 4h20min delayed, the flight to Milan is 4h10 min delayed…

This is as of 1:20 p.m. CET in BRATISLAVA:
(NE is Sky Europe)

Self-explanatory…And the schedule below is the situation on Friday in Vienna/Schwechat. Obviously the delays are “not as bad”:

But then again, define bad when an airline is going under…

skyeurope3And they still advertise their special ticket sale event that is associated with the Czech EU presidency. They better start advertising the most effective and trouble-free methods for people to return their already purchased tickets. I am supposed to fly to Amsterdam in March. I guess I am not flying anywhere… The ticket cost CZK 700, so no big deal. I am not going to spend 30 minutes listening to “hold the line, please” just to get CZK 700 back…

For some reason the English Wikipedia page on Sky Europe can not be edited. Strange…
